Running Your First Agent Task
This guide shows how to create and run your first task in Doppelganger using Agent mode.
Step 1: Create a New Task#
- Open the Doppelganger dashboard
- Click New Task
Step 2: Set Task Type to Agent#
- In the task panel, select Agent as the mode
- This sets the task to run in agent mode
Step 3: Set Wait Time#
- Locate the Wait input
- Set it to
1
This tells Doppelganger to wait 1 seconds after page load.
Step 4: Set the URL#
In the URL field, enter https://example.com
Step 5: Add a Click Block#
- Click Add Block and select Click
- Enter the selector for the element you want to click, e.g.,
afor the first link - This will click the “Learn More” link on the page
Step 6: Add a Wait Block#
- Click Add Block and select Wait
- Set duration to
2 seconds - This ensures the page has time to load after the click
Step 7: (Optional) Add More Blocks#
You can add additional blocks such as Type, Scroll, or Hover depending on your workflow. Agent mode supports many block types beyond click and wait.
Step 8: Run the Task#
- Click Execute Task
- Monitor the run to confirm that the agent clicked the link and waited 2 seconds successfully
Your agent task is now complete, demonstrating a basic automated interaction in Doppelganger.
